Lions HVAC at Alzheimer’s Los Angeles Caregiver Wellness Day

On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the Lions Heating & Air team had the honor of attending the Alzheimer’s Los Angeles Caregiver Wellness Day, a free event dedicated to recognizing and uplifting family caregivers in our community.

As an official charity partner of Alzheimer’s Los Angeles, we were proud to participate in a day filled with inspiration, connection, and heartfelt stories.

This event was more than a gathering; it was a powerful reminder of why we launched our Hearts & Homes program, and how deeply important it is to bring comfort and support to those affected by Alzheimer’s disease, not just through HVAC services, but through community engagement and meaningful partnerships.

A Space for Caregivers to Breathe

Caregiver Wellness Day was a full-spectrum wellness experience thoughtfully designed for those caring for loved ones with memory loss. From the opening breakfast to the closing keynote by Dr. Lina M. D’Orazio of USC’s Keck School of Medicine, every detail of the day made it clear: caregivers deserve to be seen, supported, and celebrated.

Meeting the Heart of the Community

Throughout the event, we had the opportunity to meet with caregivers, many of whom shared their personal journeys stories of strength, exhaustion, devotion, and hope. We were reminded just how often caregivers are asked to do the impossible: care for others while managing financial burdens, home responsibilities, and emotional fatigue.

These stories affirmed our mission. As a company rooted in the idea that comfort means more than climate control, we left the event more inspired than ever to grow Hearts & Homes into something truly impactful.

About the Hearts & Homes Program

Hearts & Homes is Lions HVAC’s year-round charitable giving initiative. We know that medical expenses can make it difficult for families to prioritize home repairs. Yet home comfort, air quality, and safety are essential especially for those facing the unique challenges of caregiving.
