Condenser Heat Pump

Recently, we received a call from a homeowner who was struggling with their heating and cooling system in Manhattan Beach. They reported inconsistent temperatures throughout the house and noted that the existing air handler seemed to be working harder than usual without delivering adequate comfort.

The family was frustrated as they faced sweltering heat during the day and chilly evenings, making their home less enjoyable. Understanding the importance of a cool home, we scheduled an inspection to diagnose the issue.

Uncovering Huge HVAC Issues: Inspection and Recommendations

We quickly discovered that the current air handler was not compatible with the condenser unit’s output capacity. This mismatch led to poor airflow and insufficient cooling in various rooms, leaving some areas uncomfortably warm while others were too cold.

As we delved deeper into our assessment, we noticed several additional concerns. Dust buildup within the system had created blockages, further restricting airflow and causing strain on both units. Additionally, we found that insulation around ductwork was compromised, allowing conditioned air to escape before reaching its intended destination.

After explaining our findings to the homeowner, we recommended replacing their outdated air handler with a new Daikin DX Ceiling Fan Coil paired with the existing DH4SE Condenser Heat Pump. This combination would ensure optimal performance by enhancing airflow distribution.
