Recently, we assisted a client with replacing an air handler heat pump system in Encino. The homeowner reached out to us after experiencing persistent discomfort within their home. They noticed that certain rooms were not heating or cooling effectively.
The thermostat settings did not seem to align with actual temperatures in various areas of the house. Frustrated with rising energy bills and inconsistent comfort levels, they called us.
Replacing An Outdated Air Handler
Upon arrival, our team thoroughly inspected the existing air handler heat pump system. We quickly identified several issues contributing to poor performance. The unit was over 12 years old and had not been properly maintained over time. Dust accumulation and debris around the unit were evident. Furthermore, we discovered that some internal components were malfunctioning due to wear and tear.
After discussing these issues with the homeowner, it became clear that replacing their outdated air handler heat pump system was the better option than repairing it. We recommended a full replacement of the existing air handler heat pump system with a modern high-efficiency model from Daikin. They agreed and then we went back in for a heat pump installation.
